RECENT PROJECTS & EXPERIENCE

October 2020 - Present

Literary Instruction Specialist

Working with Propel Schools, I serve as support for the development of underserved students, using Evidence Based lesson plans and multi-sensory learning techniques.  I communicate and collaborate with parents/caregivers, other educators, and administration in order to advocate for the academic success of my students.

2021 - Present

Naturalist Educator

This role with the Allegheny Land Trust has granted me many opportunities to assist and lead community programs and field trips, with an emphasis on environmental stewardship.  Events such as Moonlight Strolls and First Friday Hikes provide community members the chance to learn about native history and folklore, and observe local wildlife and ecosystems in real time.

2019

Outreach Science Educator

Under the instruction of Discover Gateway Children's Museum I delivered science content to enrich the curriculum of 5th grade classes throughout the state of Utah.  I facilitated a number of STEAM focused field trips, collaborated with teachers, and provided hands-on training to further develop the skills of science educators.

Art has the role in education
of helping children become
like themselves instead
of more like everyone
else.
